Our school has consistently offered a diverse range of sports events and athletic skill development through our physical education curriculum. In light of this, and to give students more opportunities to celebrate their swimming talents, the 2nd Primary Swimming Gala was held this week, bringing a wave of energy and excitement to our campus.

为了丰富学生的体育活动，让大家乐享运动，强健体魄，我校开展了多元的体育特色课程及相关活动。本周，小学部成功举办了第二届游泳嘉年华，小选手们赛场逐浪，尽情施展所学本领，观赛师生欢呼呐喊，整个校园洋溢着蓬勃向上的朝气。

The event attracted over 240 enthusiastic participants from Grades 1 through 5, reflecting remarkable engagement and enthusiasm across our PS community. It was truly inspiring to see so many young swimmers bring what they learned to the divisional event and come together to celebrate sportsmanship and perseverance. Swimmers from every grade level dove into the competition with notable enthusiasm, proudly showcasing the skills they have been developing throughout the year—including strokes such as breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke, and even butterfly.

比赛通知发布后，一至五年级的同学纷纷踊跃报名、斗志昂扬。本次活动共有240位小选手参赛。碧水之间，小小泳将们劈波斩浪，从容展示着本学年习得的各项技能。蛙泳、自由泳、仰泳、蝶泳等各式泳姿轮番亮相，大家在挥洒汗水的同时，尽情享受着运动带来的快乐与成长。

The swimmers were all demonstrating not only their physical abilities but also their growing confidence in the water. Students who did not compete were also there and cheered for their fellow classmates from the spectator seats. Behind every race, students and teaching staff joined forces to create an atmosphere of strong team spirit, filling the venue with coordinated cheers and organized support that elevated the entire competitive experience.

参赛同学热情投入角逐，展现了扎实的运动素养，以及过人的水上风采与自信。赛场边，未参赛的同学齐声呐喊，为各班健儿加油鼓劲，阵阵响亮整齐的助威声回荡全场，彰显了同学们团结友爱的团队精神。

This wonderful event would not have been possible without the dedication of our students and the tireless support of the SETs and LETs in PS. Congratulations to all participants for your outstanding effort and sportsmanship!

The Pop-Up Art Show was a glorious success this year! Working in groups of three to five, the Visual Arts students in 8th grade and up had all of Quarter 4 to work on their installation.

本周，我校年度快闪艺术展圆满落幕，收获热烈反响！八年级及以上选修视觉艺术课程的同学以三至五人为一组，历经整个第四学季潜心构思、精心创作，完成了一系列独具匠心的装置艺术作品。

This year, it was a delight to present the student work to the public by placing the show outside the school’s south gate. We had audience members not only from parents, students, and faculty, but also from the surrounding community of our school. Each installation offered a unique perspective and an interactive element, enabling the audience to engage directly with the art. The talent was on full display this time, as students were allowed to explore their creative side with few restrictions. It was up for only an hour, but the impact will last for years to come!

本次展览设于学校南门外的公共区域，面向大众开放，前来观展的不**在校师生、学生家长，还有周边社区居民。参展作品立意新颖、风格各异，更巧妙融入了互动设计，让大家近距离邂逅艺术，沉浸式体验创作的乐趣。本次展览不设主题限制，同学们肆意挥洒灵感、大胆探索表达，一件件佳作体现了他们出众的艺术素养与创作才华。这场一小时的艺术盛会虽已落幕，但其带来的审美启迪与艺术魅力却经久不衰！

G2 Musical: Kids Sing for Lovely Creatures

二年级音乐剧：

童声献唱，为可爱生灵喝彩

The G2 Squirm musical this week was a wonderful spectacle of music, movements, colors and acting. Each of the G2 classes took to the stage and performed one of the animals’ songs. Every student sang and acted with confidence and skill, demonstrating stage presence, teamwork and coordination.

本周，二年级音乐剧《Squirm》欢乐上演。婉转歌声和活泼舞姿交织着舞台的绚烂光影，一场可爱又治愈的音乐剧赢得了在场家长的阵阵掌声。各班轮番登场，演绎了一首首妙趣横生的动物主题歌曲。小演员们从容自信，在舞台上展现学习成果的同时，也尽显良好的舞台素养、协作意识与团队默契。

Squirm is a musical celebrating four animals that are often regarded as scary or gross such as worms, spiders, snakes and bats. All the students joined together to celebrate these wonderful and powerful animals, and created the perfect atmosphere to conclude this school year.

音乐剧《Squirm》围绕蚯蚓、蜘蛛、蛇与蝙蝠四种动物展开。平日里，它们常被贴上“可怕”或“恶心”的标签，但二年级学生以清脆歌声和可爱舞姿为它们“正名”，表现了这些生灵独特又富有活力的全新面貌。整场演出充满欢声笑语，为本学年的戏剧与音乐课程画上了圆满句点。

We are so proud to have witnessed our wonderful students put so much work into their rehearsals and preparation. It all turned into great performances in the end. Well done, everyone!

G4 Musical: A Pirate Melody, A Joyful Journey

四年级音乐剧：

一段海盗传奇，一程欢乐之旅

The Grade 4 students brought what they learned in Drama and Music classes to a real show and took to the stage with their performance, Pirates the Musical.

本周，四年级学生登上舞台，将戏剧课和音乐课上所学的知识转化为鲜活生动的实践成果，为大家献上了一场精彩的《海盗传奇》。

From the moment they stepped on stage, the students fully embraced their inner pirates and became real-life buccaneers! With plenty of lively "Arrrs!" and "Blimeys!" heard through the auditorium, it was clear that our young actors had mastered the pirate spirit. Audiences enjoyed following the journey of the stowaway, a character who dreamed of becoming a pirate, and learned along with him what it truly means to be a pirate.

站上舞台，同学们彻底释放活力，摇身变成一个个神采飞扬的小“海盗”！"Arrrs!"、"Blimeys!"，剧院里回荡着此起彼伏的海盗风呼号。剧情里，怀揣海盗梦想的 “偷渡客” 踏上冒险之旅，观众也跟着他一同探索，揭开了海盗的神秘面纱。

Thanks to the hard work of our students and the dedicated guidance of our drama and music teachers, the performance was a wonderful success. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved. Bravo, Grade 4!

Last week, our High School came alive with a series of student activities that brought laughter, creativity, and energy back to campus following the busy AP season. From colorful outdoor games to spontaneous presentations, students embraced opportunities to relax, connect with peers, and celebrate school life together in memorable ways.

上周，高中部处处洋溢着热闹欢快的气息。忙碌的 AP 考试季落下帷幕，精彩纷呈的户外游戏和即兴展示轮番登场，同学们舒缓压力、畅意交流，在欢乐相伴中享受惬意美好的校园时光。

Students joined in friendly competition as they raced across the track, took part in energetic games, and enjoyed a spirited water fight that left everyone soaked but smiling. Guided by Mr. Arican, runners encouraged one another throughout the event, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, teamwork, and celebration. As laughter echoed across the field and bursts of color filled the air, students had a rare chance to fully unwind and enjoy the moment with friends.

学生们在赛道上奔跑竞速，参与充满活力的游戏，欢乐打水仗更是嗨翻全场。大家都被淋得湿透，脸上却始终洋溢着笑容。在 Mr. Arican的引领下，同学们互相鼓励，活动现场热情满满、温情四溢。欢声笑语萦绕耳畔，缤纷色彩点亮校园，同学们放松身心，与挚友相伴，乐享此刻美好。

Adding to the week’s excitement, the Random PPT Challenge brought students together for an afternoon of chaos, creativity, and laughter. Participants walked onstage with no preparation, faced surprise slide decks filled with completely random topics, and somehow tried to make them sound logical. Presenters turned confusion into comedy through dramatic explanations of nonsense graphs to confident speeches about the most absurd ideas. The student audience cheered, laughed, and applauded as students improvised their way through each unexpected slide. Together, these activities showcased the vibrant spirit of the high school community and offered students a joyful opportunity to recharge, connect, and create lasting memories.

精彩不止于此。高中同学组织的随机 PPT 挑战赛更是交织着创意与欢笑，让大家度过了轻松愉快的午后时光。参赛者临场应战，面对一张张主题未知、画面随机的幻灯片，沉着展开即兴演说。大家脑洞大开，用生动诙谐的语言解读趣味图表、畅谈新奇想法，将临场挑战变成欢笑盛宴。台上即兴发挥亮点不断，台下欢呼笑语此起彼伏。这些精彩的校园活动让高中同学尽显鲜活朝气，也让同学们放松身心，在互动交流中拉近彼此距离，留下了诸多欢乐回忆。

ECE | Curious Minds Reach for the Cosmos

幼儿部｜巧手筑星辰，童心探太空

PreK-2 Rb has been engulfed in SPACE exploration for the last four weeks! They have learned about the universe and elements that comprise the universe: galaxy, solar system, the sun, planets, moon, stars, constellations, comets, meteors, asteroids, and black holes. They even learned how astronauts get to space. The class, in a collaborative effort, helped decorate the PK2 Space Corridor with Rb astronaut helmets, magic Sight Word stars, constellations, and alien spaceships. To conclude the space exploration, they learned about black holes and became scientists to assemble and design their own black holes, then students used marbles to simulate objects being sucked into the black hole! Exciting!

过去四周，PreK-2 Rb 班的学生在奇妙的太空世界尽情徜徉！他们逐一认识了星系、太阳系、行星、恒星、星座等各类天体，也了解了宇航员进入太空的方式。同学们分工协作，用亲手制作的宇航头盔、识字星星、星座装饰和外星飞船，把走廊变身梦幻的太空通道。活动最后，大家还一同探索了神秘黑洞。孩子们化身小小“科学家”，动手搭建独特的黑洞模型，再用弹珠模拟物质被吸入黑洞的景象，新奇又有趣。

In Chinese class, the children embarked on a fascinating series of exploration activities centered around the "Solar System Family." Through hands-on science experiments, they observed how planets revolve around the Sun and gained a clear understanding that each planet is a unique individual. In addition to learning about distant planets, the children also deepened their exploration and understanding of the Moon by making their own "Moon Phase Viewer," discovering why the Moon's shape changes over time. Also, to help the children experience it more intuitively, they also created their very own 3D universe model. Through this hands-on activity, the children not only enhanced their understanding of the solar system's structure and the unique features of each planet, but also developed fine motor skills, creativity, and a sense of wonder about space!

而在中文课上，大家则围绕“太阳系大家庭”展开了一系列有趣的探索活动。他们在科学小实验中观察行星如何围绕太阳公转，并清楚认识到每颗行星都是独特的个体。同学们还通过制作“月相观察器”，发现、了解月亮形状随时间变化的原因。为了获得更直观的体验，他们还亲手制作了属于自己的3D宇宙模型，在动手实践中不仅加深了对太阳系结构及各行星特征的理解，还锻炼了自己的精细动作能力和创新思维，进一步点燃了探索宇宙的好奇心。

G7 English | Quilt of Knowledge Project

七年级英语课｜一方拼布藏新知

G7 English students recently completed a collaborative “Quilt of Knowledge” project that brought together literary analysis, grammar study, creativity, and teamwork. Each student designed individual quilt pieces that explored literary devices and grammar conventions through written explanations, examples, and visual design. Students then worked in groups of four to lead mini-workshops, teaching one another the conventions they had studied and strengthening their understanding through peer collaboration. The final step was combining all of the individual pieces into a large collaborative display, creating a vibrant “Quilt of Knowledge” that celebrates the class’s collective learning, communication skills, and creativity.

HS Biology | Craft Ecosystems, Explore the Wonders of Nature

高中生物课｜巧构模型，学悟自然

Recently, HS Biology students took part in an engaging hands-on ecology project that brought key concepts in environmental science to life through creativity and scientific inquiry. Working with a combination of classroom craft supplies and self-sourced materials, students designed detailed 3D dioramas showcasing unique ecosystems and ten-species food webs.

近期，高中生物课上开展了趣味十足的生态实践项目。同学们充分发挥创意、在探索学习中直观诠释了环境科学的核心知识点。大家借助课堂手工材料与自备物资，制作精巧的三维立体模型，还原了特色生态系统，并搭建出涵盖十个物种的食物链。

A major highlight of the project was the incorporation of evolutionary narratives into each display. Students demonstrated how environmental pressures can drive genetic variation, speciation, adaptive radiation, or extinction, connecting classroom theory with visual storytelling. Alongside their models, students completed written reports featuring scientific explanations, food webs, and energy pyramids using accurate biological terminology. The project not only strengthened students’ research and analytical skills, but also encouraged innovation and collaboration.
